The indexation checker allows you to check whether a page can be indexed, therefore if it is visible and findable in search engines. There are several ways to eliminate URLs in terms of indexation:
- A URL can be excluded by a robots.txt disallow.
- A page can contain a canonical to another URL.
- A page can contain meta robots using a “noindex”.
- A URL does not contain a 200 OK HTTP header status.
This tool checks in an automatic way the key features of excluding URLs. Please note that this is purely an indication and may differ from reality. It is possible to exclude entire servers in terms of indexation, which can not be checked with this tool. This is an automatic check and we always advise also to perform a manual SEO check.
